The statement of iLeadclimate on International Women's Day

 iLEADCLIMATE ACTION INITIATIVE STATEMENT ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

In furtherance of its commitment towards a sustainable world and in line with the theme for the international women’s day; ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’ iLeadclimate Action Initiative led by Oladosu Adenike - an ecofeminist and eco-reporter is calling on global citizens and leaders to act on the impact of climate change on women, land rights, education, gender pay gap, violence against women and other related issues that define women’s rights. Our society must be a safe place for women and girls to exercise our equal rights. In this light, we are launching a 30 days activism from 8^th of February to 8^th of March, 2022 with the hash-tag iLeadclimate. This is to draw attention to the importance of women in mitigating and adapting the impact of climate change in building a sustainable world through more involvement. Women are the first victim in every environmental instability hence; we cannot solve the climate crisis without women and girls since we are the custodian of nature provided we have all it takes. This campaign will be carried out using the YouTube channel (The Ecofeminist channel) and our website (www.womenandcrisis.com) to tell the realities of women’s rights in our world today through research, community and individual actions, initiative and studies.

Lastly, we employ world citizens to come online and support this singular action at driving a sustainable and inclusive world. Thanks.
